Microneedling
Collagen-stimulating treatment, supported by a calm, well-protected daily routine.
About this treatment
Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering its natural repair and renewal processes. It is used to improve skin texture, tone and the appearance of scarring, and at ReGen it always begins with a consultation and a personalised plan.
Between sessions, the skin's recovery and maintenance depend heavily on what you do at home — gentle cleansing, barrier support and daily sun protection.
How your daily routine complements treatment
A consistent, gentle routine complements treatment by supporting the skin's barrier while it renews itself. Daily SPF is central: renewing skin needs protection from the sun, and sun exposure works against everything the treatment is trying to achieve.
Skincare maintains and protects; it does not replace treatment. The needling itself is what stimulates renewal — your routine simply gives recovering skin the calm, well-supported environment it needs.
ESK products for general skin maintenance

Actives that may need adjusting around treatment
Whether — and for how long — to adjust any product is always your practitioner's decision for your plan. No fixed timings are given here, and actives must never be applied to recently treated skin without clinical guidance.
- —
Retinal (vitamin A) night creams. Retinal renews the skin's surface and may need pausing or adjusting around treatment — your practitioner will advise on timing for your plan.
- —
Exfoliating acids (AHA, BHA, PHA). Additional exfoliation is rarely appropriate around skin-renewing treatments. Do not use exfoliating products on recently treated skin, and ask your practitioner before resuming them.
- —
Vitamin C serums. Ask your practitioner before resuming vitamin C serums on recently treated skin.
Treatment aftercare comes first
Treatment aftercare exists because recently needled skin is healing skin. The instructions given at ReGen are specific to your treatment and clinical plan and always take priority over general routine guidance, including this page.
When to contact ReGen for personalised advice
- ·Before booking a course of treatments, so your routine can be reviewed alongside it.
- ·If you are unsure when to resume your usual actives after a session.
- ·If healing skin becomes unusually red, swollen or uncomfortable — contact the clinic rather than self-treating.
