Treatment Overview
RF microneedling combines traditional microneedling with radiofrequency energy, delivering heat deep within the skin to intensify collagen stimulation and tighten the tissue. This dual-action treatment is particularly effective for addressing skin laxity, acne scarring, enlarged pores and deeper lines, offering a more advanced alternative to standard microneedling. It is suitable for most skin types and can be used on the face, neck and body. Treatment is delivered by our aesthetic nurse practitioner following a thorough consultation and medical assessment, with comfort measures throughout. An initial course of three to four sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, is typically recommended, with maintenance treatments every six to twelve months. Results develop gradually, with improvement in skin firmness and texture visible from around four weeks after the first session and continuing to build with each treatment. A review appointment is recommended to assess progress and discuss whether further sessions are appropriate for your goals. Redness similar to mild sunburn is normal afterwards and typically settles within 24 to 48 hours.
